Before placing an order with Maddie's Dolls please take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with our policies. It is the responsibility of the customer to read all company policies prior to ordering or returning merchandise. Pricing and availability are subject to change without notice.

US Customers Please Note:

We process all orders in Canadian dollars and due to the fluctuating exchange rate of the Cdn dollar versus the US dollar, the US prices listed are only an estimate of the conversion rate that you will receive on your credit card statements once the sale has been processed by your credit card company.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Money Orders or Personal Checks are all acceptable forms of payment and will be discussed when you place your order.

TAXES - Canada

All orders shipped within Canada will be charged either GST or HST as your province dictates. An additionl 7.5% QST will be added to all orders shipped within Quebec.

TAXES - USA

No taxes will be charged by Maddie's dolls and dolls are duty-free, so the price you see is the price you pay.

TAXES - International

No taxes will be charged by Maddie's dolls but duties and brokerage fees may be charged by some countries, so look into that with your local customs.

SHIPPING RATES

Shipping rates by Expedited Mail will be quoted when you place your order.

FREQUENT BUYER PLAN

At Maddie's Dolls you can earn discounts as you buy. We keep track of your purchases and once you have made 5 eligible purchases* within a calendar year we will take 10% of their average price and deduct that from your next eligible purchase*.

*Eligible Purchases = full price "Collectible Barbie" dolls.
The following are NOT eligible for the FBP :
- pink box or playline dolls
- items bought on sale
- items with any other discount or promotion already applied to it; e.g. a discount for a damaged box, preorder specials etc.
- consignment items
We reserve the right to determine and dictate the eligibility of any purchase.

PREORDER POLICIES

Preorder Deposits: A 10% minimum non-refundable deposit is required when you place your order to reserve the merchandise. A valid and current credit card (Visa, MasterCard or American Express) MUST be provided when you place your order. (Don't own a credit card? See below.) Pre-orders are considered a firm commitment on both our parts. Once an item is ordered it is up to you, the purchaser, to inform Maddie's Dolls as to any changes in terms of payment, address, or telephone number.
As soon as the item arrives in the store it will automatically be charged to your credit card and shipped out to you. We will contact you ONLY if your credit card is refused, so be sure to plan for the estimated arrival date of your merchandise. If your credit card is refused you will have 2 weeks to pay for your item(s) in full. If we do not receive full payment for your merchandise within two weeks of the item(s) arriving in the store your order will automatically be cancelled and you will be charged a cancellation fee of an additional 25% of your order and your 10% deposit will not be refunded to you.

Preorders without a credit card: You may also preorder an item by sending us a money order that is cashable in Canada (available at post offices or banks) or a personal check to pay for your deposit. Your preorder will not be in effect until your personal check has cleared the bank, so it is preferable that you send a money order. We will contact you when the merchandise is due to arrive and then you will have 2 weeks to send us the full balance of your payment. If we do not receive full payment for your merchandise within two weeks of the item(s) arriving in the store, your order will automatically be cancelled and you will be charged a cancellation fee of an additional 25% of your order and your 10% deposit will not be refunded to you.

Preorder cancellations: If you cancel your preordered item you will be charged a cancellation fee of an additional 25% of your order and your 10% deposit will not be refunded to you.

The Best Way to Preorder: Honor your commitment and if your circumstances no longer allow you to purchase your preordered item(s) be sure to let us know IMMEDIATELY so we can do our best to make the cancellation as smooth and painless as possible for both of us. We reserve the right to refuse to preorder an item at our own discretion.

LAYAWAYS & PRE-PAYMENT PLANS

These dolls can be expensive so we welcome pre-payment plans on pre-orders to assist you in making your purchases. We do not do layaways on items that are already in stock. To start a pre-payment plan we require 10% of the total order as a deposit. A valid credit card (Visa, Mastercard or American Express) MUST be provided when you place your order. (Don't own a credit card? See below.) The balance must be paid before the items arrive in stock. If you fail to pay for an installment on its due date, you will have 5 additional days to pay for it. If you are unable to make your payments your order will be cancelled and your deposit and payments will be kept in lieu of a cancellation fee.

Pre-payment plans without a credit card: You may also use a money order that is cashable in Canada (available at post offices or banks) or a personal check to pay for your pre-payment plan. Your plan will not be in effect until your personal check has cleared the bank, so it is preferable that you send a money order. You can then pay your installments with money orders or personal checks . If you fail to pay for an installment on its due date, you will have 5 additional days to pay for it. If you are unable to make your payments your order will be cancelled and your deposit and payments will be kept in lieu of a cancellation fee. We're all human, if you think you are going to have a problem making a payment call us ahead of time so we can work out a solution together. We reserve the right to refuse payment plans at our own discretion.

HOLDING ITEMS

You want an item, but you can't commit yet? We will happily hold an item without deposit for 48 hours. We reserve the right to refuse to hold an item at our own discretion.

SALE ITEMS

All sale items are considered final sales, so no returns or exchanges are permitted.

RETURNS

You MUST call for return authorization and shipping instructions within 5 days or receiving your merchandise. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted. You MUST follow our shipping instructions when returning merchandise. Any expenses that are incurred by us due to incorrect shipping will be charged back to you. Once we have received the merchandise in good condition and Never Removed From Box you will be eligible for a store credit equivalent to the price of your original purchase, not including shipping costs. Returns must be sent by insured surface mail. We reserve the right to refuse issuing credit for returns.

SHIPMENTS DAMAGED EN ROUTE

If you should receive a damaged item due to shipping give us a call right away. We will do our best to replace the merchandise as long as it is still available. Keep all packaging of the damaged item and we will instruct you as to how to ship it back to us. Once we have received the damaged item we will either replace it or refund you its original price if the item is no longer available. We will also credit back any shipping charges incurred by you when you send the item back to us as long as our shipping instructions were followed correctly. Returns must be sent by insured surface mail. We will not accept returns if the items have been removed from their box or if the return instructions were improperly followed.
